With a bag of ideas and a belly full of uncertainties we walked in the neighborhood of Masui, not yet knowing that this simple walk would open doors to more possibilities we ever could have thought of. Like 'Le Petit Prince', we put foot in places we've never heard of before, leaving the place and people we know to begin discussions with unknown people who had so much to tell and to teach us about them, us, and the world surrounding us.

Because our start with La Poissonerie felt slightly awkward (like entering someone's family party you weren't invited to?) we decided to first focus on the Atelier Vélo 238. La Poissonerie is an old fish shop that was changed into some sort of cultural community center for people of the neighborhood. They organize ateliers for neighbors, ateliers specifically for women of the quartier and a 'table d'hôte' where they use unsold food they collected in supermarkets to cook delicious dishes. You can then eat at their Table d'Hôte every Thursday for a free price and enjoy a cozy jam session afterwards. Since most people working at the Poisonnerie own a bike, they created the Atelier Vélo 238. The guys working there and especially our now good friend Camilo were really open to making something with us, so we helped them promote their shop by updating their logo, creating visit cards alongside posters and filming a promotion video.
We got to spend quite a lot of time with Camilo and his gratefulness and welcoming attitude towards life was really eye-opening and inspiring to many of us. By going more and more and helping here and there, the people and the doors from the Poissonerie ended up looking much more welcoming than when we first set foot there. Jamming there together with wonderful musicians will become one of our most found memories!

Finally we decided to use our last week there to build a chariot that they could use for the food collect. Like the people from la Poissonerie, we only used recycled material to repair and paint it. The idea is to gift them the finished product, but we also see it as a summary of everything we have done so far. Like the aviator in 'The Little Prince', our stay couldn't last forever but the impact this journey had on us will last for a long, long time.
