Alice is a 76 year old woman with a passion for animals. She has had pets all her life. Chickens, birds, lizards, snakes, frogs, you name it. But her greatest love are dogs. Her apartment is well stocked with a collection of wooden animals and all kinds of stuff with dachshunds.
A few years ago her dachshund Charlotte that she had for many years died. Since then she has not taken new pets. This is partly due to her hearing problems. She has completely lost her hearing in one ear, which has a major impact on her balance and everyday life. However, she does not sit still and is busy with lots of things.
Alice is a very beloved woman. Not a day goes by when she has no contact with her children. Her daughter lives nearby and she regularly stays with her son on weekends.
I would like to portray Alice for a day. A single woman with a loss and a disability. How does she deal with that? How does she fill her days?
