Walking on the Sea is a portrait of the eastern embankment of Ostend: a tightly lined lane in the North Sea. Her passers-by walk for nearly eight hundred meters into the sea, to return, in a changed way or not. It shows a ritual that, seen from a distance, captures humanity in its honest banality.
